DYFFRYN Gardens will host the Cardiff Bonsai Club’s display of bonsai trees this Bank Holiday weekend from May 28 to 30.

Individuals from across South Wales will bring their Bonsai trees to Dyffryn Gardens as part of a display curated by the Cardiff Bonsai Club.

Visit this weekend to learn more about growing and caring for these miniature trees, alongside demonstrations, workshops and advice from the Cardiff Bonsai Club’s experts.

You can also bring along your own Bonsai trees to seek advice from the experts. Normal admission prices apply to view the Bonsai displays.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the fantastic displays that the Cardiff Bonsai Club will put together for us this weekend, their expertise is second to none so it’s a great opportunity for visitors to get some advice, tips and tricks on caring for their own bonsai trees.” Karen Baker, visitor services manager, Dyffryn Gardens.

There’s much more to see in the garden of the Bank Holiday weekend, from the wild areas of the arboretum to gaze at our historic champion trees, or a gentle walk through the intimate garden rooms. You may stumble upon the Pompeian garden in all its grandeur or Lavender court, where you can make the most of the glorious scents.

Make the most of Dyffryn’s plant sales area after you visit the displays and take a little bit of Dyffryn Gardens home with you to your own garden.

The bonsai club will be displaying from 10am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday and from 10am to 4pm on Monday.

Dyffryn Gardens is open from 10am until 6pm, last entry at 5pm, normal admission prices apply to view the Bonsai Club’s displays.
