ELECTRONIC house duo Basement Jaxx have been announced as one of the first big name acts to perform at The Color Festival Cardiff 2016.

DJ SKT who is a fast-rising name in the UK's underground music circuit has also been announced to join the line-up.

The vibrant festival returning for its third year to Splott Warehouse will now take place on Saturday, August 27 - August Bank Holiday, instead of Saturday, June 4.

A spokesperson for The Color Festival Cardiff said, “We're really excited about this year's event and the further huge acts we are to announce. To ensure that our customers get to enjoy the biggest events in the city and as an acknowledgement to other large scale events on the same day (June 4) we have made the decision to change the date of The Color Festival Cardiff 2016.

"A statement has been released to all current ticket holders via email and social media confirming the date change to the late August Bank Holiday Weekend, Saturday 27. Any of those who are unable to attend the new date are requested to email support@thecolourfestivalcardiff.co.uk for alternative arrangements."

Some of the worlds biggest DJ's will take to the stage of Splott Warehouse this summer whilst thousands of brightly coloured partygoers will paint the Warehouse and themselves with every colour of the rainbow.
