The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Kevin James Taylor, aged 37, of Windsor Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to assault and unlawful damage of a UPVC door. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months. A restraining order was made and he was ordered to pay £150 costs, a £115 surcharge and £50 compensation.

Luke Idris, aged 27, of Hayes Road, Sully, pleaded guilty to drug driving and driving whilst disqualified. A community order was made requiring 135 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for two years and ordered to pay £620 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Marcus Jake Peterson, aged 33, of Little Dock Street, Cogan, pleaded guilty to communicating with someone in person and by text message whom he was prohibited from doing so by a restraining order. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge.
