STUDENTS at Penarth's Westbourne School are celebrating "excellent" GCSE results.
Both local and international students were successful with their results which were released on Thursday, August 25.
Stand out performers include Olivia Fairhurst, who has been at Westbourne School from nursery.
She gained nine A*s and one A grade.
Scholarship winner, Emily Li from Shenyang in China, achieved five A*s and one A having only been in the school for one year.
School principal, Ken Underhill, was quick to praise the efforts of pupils and staff alike.
He said: "I am gratified that at a time when the talk is of GCSE grades stalling or declining, our students continue to achieve excellent results because of a great team of supportive teachers and the industry and determination of the students.
"My congratulations go to the whole school community."
