HUNDREDS of families showed up at Penarth Pier to watch what must have been one of the most spectacular settings to celebrate the King’s coronation.
On Saturday evening, May 6, Penarth Town Council put on a firework display on the pier which looked simply stunning.

The event was unticketed and hundreds of people lined The Esplanade, cameras at the ready, in awe as the fireworks flickered and shone against the calm waters of the Bristol Channel.

“I’m delighted that fireworks are returning to our iconic pier and particularly pleased that we can provide a free activity for families on this historic bank holiday weekend.”
