DESPITE the rainy cool start to May many young people are enjoying cricket in Penarth this season.
This picture shows most of the junior section and coaches on a training Friday night at the rec in Penarth.
Here junior age groups go from U9s, U11s, U13s and U15s.
The club will take youngsters from school Year One upwards.
The club is very pleased to boast several things this year.
We have representatives in the Cardiff & Vale county squads and Wales squads and after a few years of trying we have an enthusiastic group of U9 age group girls playing cricket.
From now on every night playing cricket will be sunny and dry (hopefully) and a great way to spend a summer evening.
The club also runs four adult teams and players are always welcome to join.
