LIVERPOOL FC, UEFA Champions league winner and German legend Didi Hamann was recently in the Vale of Glamorgan starring in a Sports Dinner held at the Oystercatcher in Penarth Marina supporting PG10 Coaching and to raise funds for the new proposed indoor 3G and sports facility in Penarth led by Vale Sports Arena.

Hundreds of guests were given opportunities to learn about Hamann's career, achievements and stories from a successful professional football career with Bayern Munich, Newcastle FC, Manchester City FC and of course his time at Liverpool FC winning the UEFA Champions League in Istanbul and also the UEFA Cup, Carling Cup and FA Cup.

Hamann also spoke about the experiences of playing in the 1998 World Cup and in the 2002 World Cup Final against Brazil. Also the 2000 and 2004 European Championships and scoring the last ever goal at the old Wembley Stadium against England.

Further Sports Dinners are now announced with some huge sporting names attending.

BBC Match of the Day pundit and Liverpool FC legend Mark Lawrenson on Friday, November 20, which includes a Stereophonics Tribute Act. Friday, February 5, with Liverpool FC and England legend John Barnes are heading to Penarth to help support local children and aid their sporting development.

All events will be held in Penarth and guests will enjoy a three course meal, auctions, games Q&A, guests speakers and much more.
