IT WAS a successful week for Sully Bowling Club as they won four out of four matches, which the club hasn't witnessed for a long time.

On Wednesday evening, Sully entertained Barry Athletic to what is always a hard fought fixture. On the night Sully came away with two rinks up with a nine shot win.

On Friday two rinks of two wood triples played at Penarth in the Hugh Meddins Trophy, Sully worked hard to get through to the next round.

On Saturday, Sully entertained Gelligaer in a league match. This was a great game of bowls and it all came down to Carl Best with the last bowl of the match, facing a one shot defeat managed to draw the jack and convert to a three up, winning the overall match by three.

Onto Sunday with three wins in the bag, the side weren't sure if they could make it four, but they did. In another very close match, this time two rinks in the Alan Martin against Barry Romilly.

The game was finished on the 20th end with Sully being nine shots up.

This coming week Sully are away on Wednesday to Rhoose and on Saturday away to Ystrad Mynach.
